water walk!

Thank you so much to everyone who volunteered for, walked in, donated to, and supported the October 24th Water Walk. Participants walked around the fields of the Farm at Miller's Crossing carrying jugs of water to get a glimpse into the daily lives of Malawian girls. Afterwards, they enjoyed apples and doughnuts from Samascott's Orchards, cider from LoveApple Farm, and ice cream from LICK.

Amy Hart, director of the documentary Water First and catalyst for the Water Project, came all the way from New York City to participate.

This event would not have been possible without kind donations from local businesses: Nolita, Fingar Insurance, Hudson Wine Merchants, Jennifer and Wolfgang Stockmeier, Philmont Family Dentistry, and of course the Farm at Miller's Crossing.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who participated in any way! We made over $600 to build wells in Malawi.

WATER WALK!

a water walk at 3:00 on sunday, october 24th. come walk around the fields at the farm at miller's crossing (carrying water if you want to go the next step) to gain a deeper appreciation of what young women in malawi have to do every single day. registration is day of (we don't do fancy) and suggested donation is $10 and $20 for families, but don't let that keep you away; just come and give whatever you can. there will be delicious treats following the short walk (think local ice cream and doughnuts! yay!). 100% of the profits will go directly to Pure Water for the World and benefit their efforts in Malawi.

can't come? you can donate anyway! www.purewaterfortheworld.org

questions? want to help? message me (Hannah Cashen)!

thanks to the following organizations and individuals that made this possible: Philmont Family Dentistry, Fingar Insurance, Nolita, Hudson Wine Merchants, LICK, Samascott Orchards, Wolfgang and Jennifer Stockmeier, and of course The Farm at Miller's Crossing.
