Thank you so much to everyone who volunteered for, walked in, donated to, and supported the October 24th Water Walk. Participants walked around the fields of the Farm at Miller's Crossing carrying jugs of water to get a glimpse into the daily lives of Malawian girls. Afterwards, they enjoyed apples and doughnuts from Samascott's Orchards, cider from LoveApple Farm, and ice cream from LICK.
Amy Hart, director of the documentary Water First and catalyst for the Water Project, came all the way from New York City to participate.
This event would not have been possible without kind donations from local businesses: Nolita, Fingar Insurance, Hudson Wine Merchants, Jennifer and Wolfgang Stockmeier, Philmont Family Dentistry, and of course the Farm at Miller's Crossing.
A huge THANK YOU to everyone who participated in any way! We made over $600 to build wells in Malawi.
